Reset your password
Last updated August 16, 2026

Forgot your password? You can reset it yourself in a couple of minutes — you don't need to contact support. The steps below walk through the whole process, then cover what to do if the reset email doesn't arrive.
1. Open the password reset form
Go to the OakPaystubs sign-in page and choose Forgot password beneath the password field. This opens a short form asking for your email address. You don't need to be signed in, and you can do this from any device.
2. Enter your account email
Type the email address you signed up with, then submit the form. Use the address your receipts are sent to — if you have more than one, that's the one attached to your account. For privacy, the confirmation message looks the same whether or not an account exists for the address you entered, so double-check the spelling.
3. Open the reset email
Check your inbox for a message from OakPaystubs containing a reset link. It usually arrives within a minute or two. The link is time-limited for security — if it has expired by the time you open it, return to step 1 and request a fresh one rather than reusing the old link.
4. Choose a new password
Follow the link and enter your new password. Pick something at least 12 characters long that you don't use on any other site. Once you submit it, you're signed in immediately and the old password stops working everywhere.
Didn't get the email?
If the reset email hasn't arrived after a few minutes, work through these in order:
- Check your spam or junk folder, and any "Promotions" tab.
- Confirm you entered the address you originally signed up with, not a newer one.
- Search your mail for "OakPaystubs" in case a filter moved it.
- Add support@oakpaystubs.com to your contacts, then request another reset.
Corporate mail servers sometimes delay or quarantine automated mail. If you're using a work address and nothing arrives, try again and allow up to fifteen minutes before assuming it failed.
If it still doesn't arrive, contact support from the address on the account and we'll help you regain access.
Keeping your account secure
Your account holds saved employer and employee details, so it's worth protecting properly:
- Use a unique password you don't reuse anywhere else, ideally stored in a password manager.
- Don't share your login — if a colleague needs access, have them create their own account.
- Sign out on shared or public computers, and avoid saving the password in a browser you don't control.
- If you suspect someone else has your password, reset it immediately using the steps above.
Common questions
Will resetting my password delete my saved pay stubs?
No. Resetting your password only changes how you sign in. Your saved employers, employees, and past pay stubs remain exactly as they were, and your order history is untouched.
How long is the reset link valid?
The link is time-limited and expires a short while after it's issued. If yours has expired, request a new one from the sign-in page — old links can't be reused once a newer one is sent.
Can I change my password without forgetting it first?
Yes. When you're signed in, open your account settings and update your password there. You'll be asked for your current password before the new one is accepted.
I no longer have access to my account email
Because the reset link is delivered by email, we can't send it anywhere else. Contact support with your order or receipt number and we'll verify ownership another way.
